This is the endpoint researchers, social listening tools and comment analysis apps use most. The official TikTok Research API covers comments too, but only for approved academics, and it takes weeks to get approved.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get the video id (aweme_id)?
It is the number in the video URL. A TikTok video link looks like tiktok.com/@handle/video/7123456789012345678, and the number at the end is the aweme_id.
Does it return replies to comments?
Yes, replies come back with the comments. Use the cursor to page through long threads.
How many comments does one call return?
20 by default. Set count up to 50 for a bigger page. One call costs 1 credit either way.
How much do 20,000 comments cost?
1,000 calls at the default 20 per call, which is $3.00 on pay as you go, or inside the $29 Basic plan (10,000 calls a month).
